The Property
Thoughtfully situated on 20 acres of wooded property surrounded by walking trails, a pond with dock, Jon Boat, duck boxes and more, The Happy Camper and Dickie’s Cabin offer a relaxing place for gathering with family and friends. Adkins Nature Retreat is a sanctuary amidst the wilderness; a testament to simplicity and the raw beauty and tranquility of the natural world.

Testimonials
“I’m really starting to get accustomed to my home away from home. This is my third visit and I cannot wait for the fourth. The only bad thing about this place is that it’s 3 hours from my house and I can’t get there faster. Next time you may have to deal with a squatter.”

What a wonderful place!! Kevin and I loved staying here. Such a peacful time and special place. We loved having lunch at The Peach Stand, visiting The Print Shop in downtown Fort Mill, Hazel (the dog’s) first brewery, and watching the UNC gave at John’s Place; what an awesome place!! We loved our fires at night and just enjoying the scenery. We will defintely be back. Thank you for sharing this beaitful area with us all!

“I love this place. I love this family. I love our Heavenly Father who has blessed both. I pray your stay will bring you closer to all three.”

“What a dreamy little oasis you have here! And right in the middle of bustling Fort Mill. I dozed and caught up on the day in the nook before sleeping like a ROCK. The outdoor shower was too seductive..so blame me for any extra efforts needed by the water heater. Can’t wait for another work meting in this town - hope the Tiny House will be available!”

“We have enjoyed our weekend at Dickie’s Cabin! Had everything we needed for a relaxing family time. Hikes in the woods with the dog, fishing with the grandchildren and run/play time in wide open spaces were favorite activities. Sitting on the porch overlooking the pond and trees was a great rest spot. Thanks so much for sharing this space!
